When I was in my Polytechnic years, i’d train like mad to gain an edge over my opponent. I’d wake up and do my runs at 6am. I’d be in the gym for hours doing “commando” sets (macam paham). What opponent you may ask? I was heavily involved in football.
Then, leisure football became competitive football due to the rivalries with other teams. I trained like hell so that I can get past my opponent in a breeze. My diet was kept in check. It was very easy to control my food intake.
Now, there’s nothing to motivate me. I’m a full-time slacker when it comes to training. I’ll happily chomp on pratas without guilt. Blerghh, I need to shape up, but how?
This sport which has brought many bad and good memories, was the ultimate reason why I trained like a professional. It’s been quite sometime since I played football. So there goes my motivation. I need a new sport ASAP or even a return to football.
