40km night cycling by SAC (Singapore Adventure Club) was a blast. I met the kind of people I’ve been wanting to meet. But unfortunately I was jaded way before the event started, no thanks to being out the whole day. So, forgive me in my apparent lack of vibrancy throughout the event. The route leader led the way and it was up to us to keep up with him, with the last man, the safety guy peddling at a slower pace, ensuring that the last participant is in front of him.
Below are the places we went to,
Jurong East Sports Complex – Boon Lay Way – Jalan Boon Lay – Jalan Bahar – Lim Chu Kang – Neo Tiew Road – Kranji Dam(REST) – Kranji Road – Woodlands Road – Choa Chu Kang Road – Bt Batok Road* – Jurong Town Hall Road – Jurong East Sports Complex.
Yes, that cemetary… Lim Chu Kang was bloody eerie, but it was fantastic as there’s a super long stretch of road, which allowed me to speed with another rider. Beautiful is an understatement to describe the view from Kranji Dam to JB. It was littered with lights, which fascinated almost everyone. There were many highlights but those two are the biggest.
40km seemed like 30km. I hope that NTU Bike Rally 08 will be opened to the public. That one’s a killer, 128km around the island.
My apologies for the picture-less post. Silly me, I did not bring any camera.
