t’s my very first dish so mistakes are inevitable. Serves 4.
Ingredients
3 huge onions, sliced and diced
4 cloves of garlic, sliced and diced
a handful of basel leaves
2 bay leaves
1 teaspoon of crushed pepper (note: it’s crushed, NOT FINE POWDER)
8 huge juicy tomatoes, skin peeled
4 handfuls of minced meat (approx 600g?)
olive oil
1 teaspoon of sugar
1 teaspoon of salt
Doing It
1. Blend the tomatoes. Do not add water! I’ll tell you why in just a bit.
2. Throw in the chopped garlic and pepper into the pot and add a splash of olive oil.
Mistake No 1: I cooked the garlic till it turns brownish. It’s NOT suppose to be that way. Once the aroma goes up, you can follow the next step already.
3. Add in the 2 tablespoons of chilli paste and stir.
4. Throw in the tomato juice and stir.
5. Toss in the bay and basel leaves.
6. Now, the minced meat and stir lightly. Don’t forget the salt and sugar.
7. Leave the sauce to boil.
8. For the pasta, there’s a way to boil them. Basically, you grab it with both hands.
9. And twist! Don’t worry, the spaghetti won’t break.
10. And let go.Tadaa! I forgot the rationale behind this but I’ll keep you updated if I know.
11.Fill half the pot with water and boil. As it boils, push the ends of the spaghetti in. If not, you’d end up getting them burnt.
Mistake No 2: See those brown strands of spaghetti on the left, those got burnt. I was happily cleaning up the place and did not attend to my pasta. Do not do that. Always stand by at your spaghetti pot.
12. Grate the cheeseyy weesey.
Mistake 3: Notice that the sauce is a bit watery. I added a bit of water in the blender, which I did not know I shouldn’t.
Here’s the whole recipe. I had fun cooking, and I hope you will too.

Ready made sauces save time, no doubt. But last time I checked, the sauces are high in calories and fat. Which is no surprise because that is one of the few characteristics of processed food.
Calorie laden food isn’t gonna do wonders especially if you need it for recovery after workouts
